I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The pool area was excellent, and I enjoyed overlooking the creek. The only downside was that the room was a bit dark with not enough light.
Rooms

The room overlooking the creek was a nice touch, but it was a bit dark with not enough light.
Service

The service was top-notch, very polite and helpful. However, the staff was not very friendly when we asked to use the breakfast area to play cards in the evening.
Location
9.0
The location was great, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Plus, being right next to the pool was super convenient.
Dining

Though we went somewhere else the rest of our trip, the breakfast with eggs, biscuit and gravy was delicious. The dining experience was above average.
Facilities

The facilities were adequate, but the hotel could have been kept cleaner to enhance the overall experience.

My stay at Black Bear Inn and Suites was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, while not the cleanest, offered a wonderful view being located above the pool. The bed was super comfy, but there were cleanliness issues. The service was a bit of a hit and miss - some staff members were very friendly and courteous, while others were rude. The location, although a bit on the slow end of the strip, was still walking distance to attractions and close to downtown Gatlinburg. The dining experience varied from not good to great depending on the day. Overall, it was a decent stay with some room for improvement.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and not-so-good. The rooms had a bit of an awkward layout with cords all over the place, but they did have a whirlpool bath and a fireplace which was nice. The cleanliness could have been better, especially with some trash in the creek. On the bright side, the property was always well-kept.
Rooms
7.0
The rooms were a bit awkward with cords running all over, but the whirlpool bath and fireplace were a nice touch. Could have been cleaner, especially with trash in the creek.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and helpful, especially with parking. However, the 'free' room was overshadowed by ongoing renovations.
Location
9.0
The location was great, close to everything in downtown Gatlinburg and just steps away from restaurants. Access to Smoky Mountain National Park was convenient.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was hit or miss. While it was good enough to start the day, having the same thing every day got a bit monotonous. But it did save money!
Facilities
8.0
The hotel facilities were decent, with enough amenities to meet basic needs.
